Caimans in SEA LIFE Scheveningen |
.jpg)
| A trio of Cuvier´s Dwarf caimans (also called Cuvier’s smooth fronted caiman) have taken up residence at the SEA LIFE Centre this year. Though still youngsters at present, the three new arrivals could eventually grow to 1,60 meters. Unusual amongst crocodilians, the Cuvier’s dwarf caiman has a short, smooth high-domed head and upturned snout. The new residence has a 36m2 surface and the water temperature is 30 degrees. It has two safety doors to offer the aquarist maximum security. The young caimans will be fed with fish. |
