From April 7th - Otter Oasis in SEA LIFE Scheveningen |
 | From April 7th SEA LIFE welcomes 2 new residents. The two female otters will move into their new private home which is bigger than the average student housing and even includes a waterfall. These Asian short clawed otters come originally from India across the South Chinese border. They are family of the marten and the weasel. They use their tail and back paws to swim and they use their front paws to eat (like a chipmunk). To keep the right body temperature, the otters eat a lot of food, daily about 15 percent of their total body weight. Their diet consists of snails, insects and fruit. Meet the new members of the SEA LIFE family in Scheveningen and learn more about them in this exciting exhibition and how you can help to protect them. |
